Smithers Council will decide on Tuesday evening on whether to grant a three-year lease to the Bulkley Valley Bright Beginnings Childcare group.
The new location would be at the old Ranger Park pre-school at 3736 16th Avenue and Manager Michelle Storey says the bigger building would allow them to carry out more services.
“The Ranger Park building has som much potential to provide other services like an after school program and allows us to work with infants and toddlers which is the biggest need in Smithers.”
Storey adds the Town has been a good partner during the entire process. “They have been very supportive and helpful which has made them easy to talk too so we can come up with an answer together.”
If approved they would take over a three-year lease on September 1st.
