Twain Sullivan Elementary gets $111,000 for new boiler

Twain Sullivan Elementary is getting $111,000 for a new boiler.

The Province is investing $4.8 million into 27 BC schools for energy-efficient upgrades, apart of its Carbon Neutral Capital Investment program.

The school’s old boiler was breaking down, and Principal Craig McAulay says the new one will be better for the school.

“We won’t be running into problems where we need maintenance to come in and troubleshoot problems in terms of temperature fluctuations and I think the capacity of this unit is much higher than the other boiler that we had.”

Twain Sullivan is the only school in the district to get an upgrade this year.
