The famous Alpenhorn Man in Smithers will be getting a face lift next month.
Heather Gallagher with the Chamber of commerce says he’ll be replaced by an identical replica.
“He’s almost kind of beyond repair. They were going to take him down and try to refurbish him, bit it wouldn’t totally restore him.”
She says the chamber will be paying for the replacement carving.
The new, and slightly taller, Alpenhorn Man will be unveiled October 3rd with a ribbon cutting on Main St.
