Telkwa fire hydrant maintenance causing possible water discoloration

There could be discoloration in the Telkwa water system over the next few weeks.

The Village is doing maintenance on fire hydrants until October 14th during normal working hours.

Maintenance may cause the discoloration with the movement of sediment in the water mains.

The Village says it doesn’t pose a health risk.

If you encounter discoloration, run the tap until it clears up.
