Refresher course in Moricetown aims to keep people sober

A refresher program in Moricetown in the new year is aimed at keeping people sober. The two week program is looking to give members help beyond addiction treatment to keep from derailing from sobriety.

“A year after, or six month after they’ve been through treatment…just to check up with them and see how they’re doing,” explains Band Chief Duane Mitchell. “and that’s really important. These workshops are good, but we need to carry it on.”

The course will give people the tools to keep living through a sober life, looking back at some of the techniques that brought them out of a life of addiction.

The course will run from January 8th to the 19th.

Those interested can contact June Wickham at the Moricetown Health Center before December 16th.
