Telkwa Mayor Darcy Repen says vandals made away with some Christmas lights after damaging a display at Flagpole Park over the weekend.
Repen says it’s a bummer for council.
“We’ll sit as a council and look at it and go, wow, are we going to fund Christmas displays if someone’s just going to come and wreck them.”
He says a lot of staff time went into making the Christmas display.
There was similar vandalism to the warm up shed and the riverside benches last year.
