The date of the Moricetown Chief and Council election has been extended due to wildfires in 100 Mile House.
Since that’s where the electoral officer lives, the band says many ballot packages for people off reserve haven’t been received.
The band says they’re allowed to extend the election date to August 10th.

Off-reserve members can request a package through the multiplex. Packages will be mailed to members via the Smithers post office.
