Town Hall meeting in Houston with MP Nathan Cullen speaking about infrastructure spending

A town hall meeting tonight in Houston will let members of the public voice their concerns with infrastructure and federal funds for community projects.

Local Member of Parliament Nathan Cullen will be there speaking about the billions of dollars the feds are announcing for infrastructure.

“Similar to the other 10 or 11 we’ve held on infrastructure, is that the federal government is about to spend a bunch of money. We want to make sure the projects we spend on are guided based on local knowledge rather than Ottawa telling us what we need,” says Cullen.

He’ll get proposals out of communities to bring back to Ottawa “for better biking, bridges, better bridges over rail grades…better cell phone reception and internet. Those are the type of things I’ll be pushing,” says Cullen.

The town hall will be tonight at 7 at the Houston Seniors Centre and is open to the public.
