CN Rail isn’t commenting yet on what will happen with rail activity in the North after August 4th.
Yesterday the Gitxsan issued an eviction notice to all provincial operations on their thirty three thousand square kilometers of land which extends to rail traffic.
CN communications director Mark Hallman only says CN is looking into the situation.
“CN has a long standing cooperative relationship with the Gitxsan hereditary chiefs and we are currently in discussion with them on this matter.”
He says there is no further comment from CN at this time.
