Smithers council will be looking at a newly designed and flight tested landing system costing over 26 thousand dollars for the airport.
The money is expected to come from the airport operating surplus.
not included in the 2016 airport budget plan, council will decide Tuesday whether to allow the purchase of the landing system.
The design has been completed with council awarding the design and flight testing to Alberta based Jetpro late last year.
The design has been completed quicker than expected.
