Community relations with BC Hydro Dave Mosure says it’s directly to due to a severe thunderstorm warning and lightning today with outages stretching all the way to Price Rupert
“It’s actually everybody west of Prince George. We’ve had a significant lighting storm come through. The 500 kilivolt line that leads from Prince George west has failed. We’re currently in the investigative stages, so we don’t have any answers.”
Some power has been returning to Smithers
