Horgan on the road this week touring Highway 16 corridor
NDP Leader John Horgan is hitting the road in Prince Rupert today, on a five day journey in an RV making his way to Prince George.
Horgan is making stops in several communities meeting mayors and First Nations in a part of the province which has been hit hard in recent years. The closure of the Huckleberry and Endako Mines and pulled down many small town economies with Fraser Lake and Houston losing their only grocery stores this year.
“I think the BC Liberals, whenever I hear them speak they talk about Conference Board of Canada or another banker giving a good piece of information.” said Horgan from Prince Rupert “But that information is not real on the ground, people are struggling – businesses are struggling and I think the BC Liberals are spending too much time reading documents and not enough time talking to people.”

Friday, Aug. 19 – Hazelton, Smithers
Saturday, Aug. 20 – Burns Lake, Vanderhoof
