37-year old Fort Fraser incident dies after weekend crash

The Fraser Lake RCMP and the BC Coroners Service are investigating a fatal collision on the Nautley Reserve.

According to police a 37-year old from Fort Fraser died just before 1AM on Sunday morning in a single-vehicle crash.

Earlier in the evening, police received a report of an impaired driver in a pickup truck on the reserve and later discovered the accident on the Nautley River Bridge.

The truck eventually went off the bridge and into the river.

Alcohol and speed are considered factors.

This is on top of a recent stretch of accidents in the Prince George-area where 17 people have been sent to hospital in the past week in 5 separate collisions.
