Smithers RCMP arrived at what looked like a demolition derby in the Bulk Barn BV Wholesale (Police initially reported Bulk Barn, it’s since been confirmed the incident happened at BV Wholesale) parking lot on Wednesday morning.
Around 9 o’clock, an 84-year-old Prince George man smashed his Kia Sportage into a Chevrolet SUV in a Smithers parking lot.
The driver severely damaged the Chevy’s front end while also hitting an Audi SUV.
Disoriented, the driver then reversed across the whole parking lot and launched a smaller car over the curb and into a ditch.
Smithers RCMP reports the driver was sober there were no injuries. Police handed the driver a careless driving ticket and want his license to be reviewed.
