BC Transit in Topley and Burns Lake this week for Hwy 16 action plan

BC Transit is visiting its last six locations this week for the public consultation portion of the Highway 16 Action Plan.

Jonathon Dyck, communications Manager with BC Transit, says they’ve gathered feedback on the frequency of service, times of service and bus stop locations.

“So far we’ve had over 900 people participate in person and online. The in person consultations continue this week” in Topley at Grizzley Jim’s General Store on Friday from 2 to 4p.m., and in Burns Lake on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lakes District Fall Fair.

“We’re pleased with the quality information people have been providing. And the more information the better,” says Dyck.

The action plan is looking at four routes – Burns Lake to Smithers, Burns Lake to Prince George, Hazelton to Terrace and Terrace to Price Rupert.
