The Northwest Community College is touting their success of a 12 per cent increase of more students on campus this year.
An increase Vice President of Education, Students and International Justin Kohlman says hasn’t happened since 2011.
“Honestly, it’s been driven by a lot of hard work by a lot of people at the college. We’ve really done a lot of work to improve our processes, make it easier for people to register early, (and)following up with students in ways we haven’t in the past.”
He says the increase is spread across all the NWCC campuses this autumn.
That’s 179 more students in courses that transfer to university this fall compared to this time last year, and an increase of 48 in career preparation registrations.
He says the trades will likely see similar success.
