Group of Northern BC doctors give thumbs down to NGP

A local doctor has joined a group of colleagues in objecting the Northern Gateway Pipeline.

Doctor Bert Kelly along with 17 other physicians have signed a letter saying they are not in support of the project due to health concerns.

Kelly says he was approached by the group of doctors who are against Northern Gateway and after reviewing the facts he knew he could not support the crude oil project.

Kelly says its also unacceptable the high cost of a cleanup if a spill were to happen.

He says many of the doctors that signed the letter against the Northern Gateway Pipeline were from Northern B-C.
