The quest for torchbearer for the 2015 Canada Winter Games is on.
Manager of communications for the Games, Alyson Gourley-Cramer says they need one hundred and fifty people to carry the torch during the relay.
“The relay will be running throughout Northern B.C. from November 4th until game time and we are looking for nominations for people who inspire you, or even for yourself.”
She says there are four categories for torchbearer applications; youth, sport, culture and community.
She says carrying the torch will be a once in a lifetime opportunity for most people as the Canada Winter Games won’t be back to B.C. for another 26 years.
The deadline for applications is August 15th.
