Statements from CN on the derailment in Decker Lake.
CN’s Emily Hamer says 22 cars and two engines left the tracks after a collision with a truck.
She says the location of the accident is a private crossing near the Hampton mill west of Burns Lake.
“There are no dangerous goods involved. The derailed containers that the cars were carrying contained household goods.”
She says all rail operations along the line have been suspended and crews are working as quickly as possible to clear the tracks.
No word yet on when the line may re-open.
