The Northwest Fire Centre says four new fires were started over the long weekend.
Olivia Pojar says crews are still patrolling two of the fires, one in the Nass Valley and one near Southside, both of which are nearly out.
And another is burning in a remote area 40 kilometers north of Smithers.
That fire is about 10 hectares in size and Pojar says crews are working on it.
The last fire is further north about 110 kilometers south of the Yukon border.
She says two of the fires were caused by lightning and the other are under investigation.
