The Super Heroes of Business will be revealed at this weekend’s Chamber of Commerce Business Awards in Smithers, narrowing down finalists in 13 different categories.
“Everything from business of the year, to young entrepreneur of the year, to home based business, to environmentally and family friendly; the idea is to honor all the super service we receive as clients and customers,” says Heather Gallagher with the Smithers Chamber, explaining the ‘Super Heroes of Business’ theme.
The Town of Smithers will also be giving out Building Excellence Awards, with Telkwa also presenting a Leadership Award.
“A lot of businesses are nominated in every category. It’s a difficult job as a selection committee to go through all that criteria and select a final 3 for each,” says Gallagher.
They’ll be presented at the Prestige Hudson Bay Lodge Saturday at 6:30.
