The Regional District of Bulkley Nechako has lifted an evacuation order in the China Nose area. The area that was on the order has now been dropped down to an alert. Chair Bill Miller says the alert goes from Heading Creek Forest Service Road.
“And then it goes south of Maxan Lake and goes parallel to the highway but is south of the highway (Highway 16.)”
Miller says the rain that has come through the area has helped out fire crews.
