Smithers RCMP were able to find the driver of a dirt bike that fled the scene of a collision into the ditch Friday on Railway Ave.
The young male driver fled on foot after being confronted by a homeowner
Through investigation, RCMP were able to identify the under-age operator of the bike who didn’t suffer any significant injuries
Police found liquor bottles scattered around the bike
They’re reminding the public of the dangers of impaired operation
