This past week’s fall food drive for the Salvation Army has been deemed a success.
Director Rick Apperson says they collected more food than usual.
“It looks like it went very well. It looks like there were more donations than last year,” he says. “It means we ended up with three or four pallets of food.”
Apperson says they are still in need of canned fruit and juice.
Anyone willing to donate can drop off items at the Salvation Army on Main St. or in either of their bins at Safeway or Extra Foods.
