The mayor of Houston has decided to run for re-election.
Bill Holmberg says he has helped keep property taxes low and wants to keep it that way.
“I’ve been two terms, this will be my third if I am successful,” he says.
“The big thing I see, is with the mill shutting down, we are going to face our significant tax loss in our community. I think you need to have someone on council that is capable of making decisions right away and continuing to run the community like a business.”
Holmberg also wants to continue pushing for 24 hour health care in Houston.
The municipal election will be held on Nov. 15.
