Bovill Square recognized provincially

Smithers council has picked up an award on behalf of the community for the wood work done at Bovill Square.
Mayor Taylor Bachrach, who is in Whistler for the UBCM convention with three other councillors, says they are looking forward to bringing this award home.
“This recognizes the volunteers at Centennial Legacy Committee and the Bulkley Valley Arts Council and the builders who built the stage,” he says. “Council had a role but really it was those folks that made this incredible community legacy.”
The WoodWorks Community Recognition Award was presented by the Canadian Wood Council.
This group recognizes communities that have showcased the use of wood in local projects.
