Highway 16 just outside of Terrace is closed in both directions and not expected to re-open until late tonight.
The road two kilometres east of Usk has been closed since a fatal collision early today.
Terrace RCMP and the West Coast Pacific Traffic Service are investigating.
One person has died and two were sent to hospital.
One of the vehicles involved was fully engulfed in flames.
