The Banff Mountain Film festival’s stop in Smithers last night has been deemed a success.
Organizer Sieghard Weitzel says all the money raised will go to two different local charities.
He’ll know the exact total in a couple of weeks.
“My guess is it will be similar to last year, which will be around $1800-2000 leftover for donations,” he says.
He adds the event was sold out. All of the funds raised will go the Northwest Animal Shelter and Saltos Gymnastics Club.
