Its homeless action week and a blanket drive is taking place this afternoon for anyone that wants to help.
Megan Brady with Positive Living North says they will be set-up to take donations at the corner of Highway 16 and Main St.
“We decided we wanted to some sort of ‘camp-aign’ and we put it in quotes because we aren’t actually doing a camp-out this year,” she says. “So we are doing a blanket drive today from 2:30-5 p.m. at the Goat which is beside the main highway.”
Brady is asking for new or gently used clean blankets only.
There will be live music and refreshments.
Anyone who can’t make it out today but would still like to donate can do so at Positive Living North or at the shelter on Broadway.
