Lego shortage affecting Smithers store

A lack of lego has one toy store in Smithers scrambling.
Big Smiles owner Allan Read says for there is a shortage for independent Canadian retailers.
“Bascially what has happened, they’ve over sold and they don’t have any stock,” he says. “So I think they’ve held back and maybe kept stuff for their U.S. and big box stores. They are slowly building it back up again, they just re-released 140 or so different things just the other day so I ran home and did a lego order as fast I could.”
Read says this has affected his business as he wasn’t able to order any lego for the past two months. He thinks the Lego movie released earlier this year has caused the popularity. Read adds the company is working hard to catch up and he thinks the shortage won’t last much longer.
