Two out of the three people sent to hospital after yesterday’s fire at a Burns Lake mill have been released.
Pinnacle president and COO Leroy Reitsma says the two workers that were sent to Prince George were released last night and the one that was flown to Vancouver is doing much better.
“The main reason was that they were worried about an inhalation related injury, like heat inhalation,” he says. “But when they did testing, they discovered that was not the cause so they are expecting him to remain in care for a couple of days and then be released as well.”
He adds there was no damage to any equipment.
At this time, the cause of the fire is unknown but Worksafe BC is at the site investigating.
