Smithers Council meets tonight

Smithers town council meets tonight with a packed agenda.
Councillors will receive a petition from residents regarding the closure of Ranger Park preschool.
Also tonight, Boston Pizza’s request for a change to their liquor license to increase the number of seats from 108 to 120 will be discussed.
Staff will also recommend locations for an off leash dog park and options for relocating a part of the perimeter trail that was closed earlier this summer.
Tonight’s meeting will also see the Bulkley Valley Child Care and Development Centre make their last attempt at rezoning a piece of property they are interested in purchasing.
The meeting starts at 7:30 in council chambers.
