The annual earthquake drill is taking place tomorrow.
Co-chair for BC Shake out, Miranda Myles, says this is the perfect opportunity for people to practice ‘drop, cover, and hold on.’
“We do the drill because it helps people go through the motion. Practice makes perfect,” she says. “If you practice, when an earthquake comes you’ll know what to do and not hesitating.”
Myles adds this is also a good reminder to strap down heavy objects such as TVs and bookshelves.
