Councillors presented the budget highlights at the meeting with the top four priorities of the budget being the new arena, curbside recycling, the Smithers Airport and the Fall Fair Grounds.

The town will spend $430,000 on repaving, $320,000 on the Fulton Walkway expansion, $257,000 on the sewage treatment plant and $100,000 on new washrooms for the fair grounds.
