A house group that built a camp on the Suskwa Forest Service RoadĀ is having an open house tomorrow.
Spokesperson Richard Wright says they built permanentĀ cabins to manage their land, specifically against a pipeline project proposed to run through the area.
“Primarily to stop LNG,” he says. “And also we started looking at the larger scale and that was territorial management, limit the pace and scale of industrial development out there.”
There will be a free BBQ and tours given tomorrow. Transportation is available from Gitanmaax, Hagwilget, Glen Vowell, and Kispiox.
