The Smithers Airport is getting some new equipment to help with clearing the snow.
Council agreed to pitch in some of the money at their last meeting.
Airport Manager Rob Blackburn says it will cost around $280,000.
“So the money is coming from the federal airport assistance program, 95% is from the federal government and 5% from the municipality,” he says.
Blackburn adds their current equipment is over 20 years old and often fails.
