The Smithers and District Chamber of Commerce has handed out its annual awards.
The Sausage Factory picked up Business of the Year award.
Owner Fred Reitsma says it’s an honour to be chosen.
“We are all very proud that the town and chamber members selected us,” he says. “We are very pleased to put out our meat products every day. We put our heart and soul into everything we produce. Our motto is if we won’t take it home to serve to our family then we won’t serve it to our customers.”
Other winners on Saturday night include Fox Hole Bakery for Home Based Business, Brian Hall for Tourism Excellence and Ali Howard of Nature’s Pantry picked up Business Person of the Year.
