Art contest to highlight new Hospital

Northern Health and School District 91 have teamed up again to run a second art competition highlighting the new Lakes District Hospital.

Northern Health’s Jonathon Dyck says the contest is open to all students from Kindergarten to grade 12 including home schooled kids and students of alternative schools.

“This is a fantastic way to engage students in the construction of the new hospital and health centre that will serve them in the years to come.”

Dyck says students can choose between two categories ; they can create art showing the importance of safety on the construction site or the importance of hospital staff.

He says the prizes will be the same as last time with a chance to win iPods for the older students, Wii’s for the younger students and art supplies and bike helmets for runner ups.

The deadline for entries is May 31st and entries can be dropped off at any School District 91 school.
