Applications are now being accepted for UNBC student financial awards for the 2015/2016 academic year.
UNBC student and Smithers resident Allison Inderbitzin knows the importance of applying for these scholarships.
She picked up a renewable entrance scholarship that helps pay for her tution and take a huge weight off her shoulders.
“I get $5000 a year and if I keep up my grades I can have it for another three years, she says. “I was selected for academic excellence and community involvement. It was open for all females in northern B.C. and that is a pretty broad area — I was really lucky.”
Information on what awards are available and how to apply can be found on UNBC’s website.
