Smithers Council meets for the last time tonight before the municipal elections.
The evening kicks off with a public hearing.
Residents will have a chance to voice their opinions about
The Child Development Centre’s request to rezone a property on Columbia Street that they are interested in purchasing.
This will be the second time a public will be held into this matter.
The centre wants to move downtown but council is torn on which which zone it should be changed to.
Also on the agenda, staff will give a report on the costs associated with lighting a portion of the Fulton walkway and give an update on Riverside campground.
Councillors are also expected to give third reading to a slew of by-laws.
