The Northern Society for Domestic Peace s biggest fundraiser has not disappointed.
Executive director Carol Seychuck says the Mz Judged pageant brought in about $48,000.
“I think it always surprises people when something is that successful,” she says. “I’ve been thinking about it and I think it is because it is so interactive with the community. Everyone is connected to family and friends. Community gets together and helps that person. It is just very interactive.”
Seychuck says this money goes to directly to support programs to end violence against women.
Travis Hubert was crowned Mz. Judged 2014. The fundraiser will take place again in two years.
