Remembrance Day is tomorrow

Remembrance Day ceremonies will be taking place across the Bulkley Valley and Lakes District tomorrow. (
MP for Skeena Bulkey Valley, Nathan Cullen says all remembrance days are important but this year, it seems to be more in the forefront of Canadian’s minds.
“This one has particular significance because of the murders of Nathan Cirillo and Patrice Vincent and the recent attack on Parliament Hill just last month,” he says. “I suspect there will be large crowds at all the Remembrance Day ceremonies all across the northwest and I really would encourage people to come out and honour and respect our veterans.”
In Smithers, the ceremony will be held at Peace Park at 11 a.m., in Telkwa at the Seniors Centre at 1 p.m., in Houston it starts at the community hall at 10 and in Burns Lake it starts at 11 at the high-school.
