New fire truck for Houston

Houston is getting a new fire truck.
Chief Jim Daigneault says this will be a good addition to the fleet.
“We went through the tender process,” he says. “We made arrangements to buy a new engine from Hub Fire out of Abbotsford. It is a 2015, the rest of it will be custom made.”
The new truck will cost approximately $417,000 before taxes.
The truck it is replaces is about 35 years old. It should be shipped next year.
