Slippery roads not expected to get any better anytime soon

A freezing rain warning remains in effect and it doesn’t look like the weather situation will get any better for those out on the roads.
 According to Environment Canada the rain is expected to change to snow later on today with the temperatures hovering around zero.
 Corporal Terry Gillespie of the Burns Lake RCMP is advising those that don’t have to drive, to stay home.
“We did have an accident at Six Mile Hill, between Burns Lake and Houston,” he says. “Besides that, it has been fairly quiet this morning but who knows how the day will go.”
Many school bus routes were cancelled this morning and Drive BC put a travel advisory in place for Highway 16 from Topley to Hazelton.
Parts of Highway 37 are also under a travel advisory.
