No one has been seriously injured in a two vehicle incident in Smithers.
The Smithers RCMP responded to a call on Highway 16 near Raymond Road last night at around 7:30 pm
Police say a vehicle attempted to pass another vehicle, when the driver lost control, causing both vehicles to go into the ditch.
Both vehicles had to be towed due to the damage sustained.
The roads were icy at the time and the one driver was issued a Violation Ticket for Speed Relative to Conditions under the Motor Vehicle Act.
The RCMP are once again reminding the public to drive according to the conditions and to have winter tires on their vehicles.
