The Smithers Rotary auction has been deemed a success by organizers.
Club member Frank Williams says about $36,000 was raised.
“We still have some variables that will come into play,” he says. “We still have some bills to pay, a few items need to be paid for, so we aren’t 100% sure but it is looking like this will be our best year to date, which is better than last year which up to this point was the best to date. It is looking very positive.”
Half the funds raised will go to the skate board expansion project and the other half will go some of Rotary’s other projects.
