Telkwa council meets tonight for the first time since the municipal election however it will still be the original council running the meeting.
The newly elected mayor and councillors won’t be sworn in until December 15th.
Tonight’s agenda will be a light one with only a couple of things to discuss.
The village’s new alcohol policy will reviewed.
The objective of the policy is to create safe events, reduce the number of people engaging in hazardous drinking and foster a culture of moderation and responsible use.
The meetings starts at 7 pm in council chambers on Hankin Avenue and is open to the public.
