The finishing touches are putting put on the new arena in Smithers this week.
Timber Peak Construction President Rob Trampuh says it has been a great project for his company and the community.
“I think we’ve worked with the town quite well and we’ve worked in part with C&M Development and they essentially were the administration portion of the project,” he says. “So we mostly had local contractors and we were able to mitigate to keep on schedules and bring in local people.”
Trampuh says by the end of the week the arena will be ready to go however there is no word yet on when it will officially open for use.
