Northern BC Co-op locations taking donations for Fire Relief Fund

Co-op locations across northern BC are pitching in to assist those forced to flee from the recent wildfires in the province.

Renee Dick with the Four Rivers Co-op in Vanderhoof explains how the Fire Relief Fund will work.

“Anybody can come into any of our locations and make a donation and the Four Rivers Co-op will match that donation to help provide aid to those people who are displaced by the wildfires.”

It’s as easy stopping by a location and donating to a very worthwhile cause without the hassle of buying groceries.

“They can always just come in and if that’s all they wanted to do and didn’t have any other business in any of our stores they can just come in and say ‘Hey I want to make a donation to the Fire Relief Fund’ and our cashiers can ring it through for them,” says Dick.

Cash donations are being accepted at the following locations:

  • BCR location at 998 Railway Avenue in Prince George
  • Co-op Cardlock at 1280 Quesnel-Hixon Road in Quesnel
  • At any Vanderhoof location on 188 Stewart Street East and 227 1st Street
  • Co-op Cardlock at 2900 Hamblin Road in Houston
