Nearly 150 fire fighters working in the Vanderhoof, Fort St. James area

The wildfire situation in the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako remains the same as yesterday.

In the Vanderhoof and Fort St James area, there are nearly 150 fire fighters working to put out fires.

One evacuation alert near the Grizzly Lake fire has ended leaving just two alerts in the regional district.

That’s one lert near the Sutherland Rd fire north of Fort Fraser which is still 80% contained.

The other aalert is near the southern border of the RDBN in the Big Bend Creek. That fire reported at over 2,000 hectares and is still considered out-of-control.

The forecast is calling for wind across the province this weekend. Thundershowers are expected in the Lakes District and eastern areas of the regional district.
